Dolphin House is a stunning, traditional Cornish Cottage sitting in a lovely position in the heart of Port Isaac, a beautiful medieval fishing village on the North Cornwall coast.
Comfortably accommodating up to 10 people with 2 reception rooms, 5 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms, Dolphin House makes the perfect get-away for the whole family.
If the weather suits - the front and rear gardens provide an ideal space for al fresco dining on sunny evenings or an afternoon cream tea! The cosy lounge is perfect for a relaxing night in by the fire after exploring Port Isaac and the surrounding coastal villages.
With a large private garden to the rear, sun-drenched front terrace and single garage – Dolphin House is a gem tucked away in the winding streets of the village.
Port Isaac is centred around the picturesque fishing harbour with scenery now familiar as the setting of ITV’s Doc Martin. The village is also home to two restaurants of Chef Nathan Outlaw: Fish Kitchen and the 2 Michelin star ‘Restaurant Nathan Outlaw’ both serving local seafood.
The village has plenty on offer; within a short wander fresh fish can be purchased from the fish cellar, you can eat out in the many restaurants, bakeries, tea rooms and pubs and browse through the pleasant mix of shops including the pottery where a local potter creates and paints beautiful ceramics inspired by the village surroundings.
If a relaxing holiday is in order, short coastal walks provide enough sea air to work up an appetite for a Nikki B’s pasty and a drink in the Golden Lion. If you’re lucky enough, you might even hear the shanty singing Fisherman’s Friends. For the more adventurous; a hike to port Quinn, or surfing at Polzeath beach.
Port Isaac is a perfect base for exploring Cornwall: a day by the beach sun-lounging and surfing in Polzeath is only a 15 minute drive away, you can enjoy a round of golf in Rock, and foodies can spend a day in Padstow, home to Rick Stein’s The Seafood Restaurant and Paul Ainsworth at No.6.
